Efficient Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithms for fully Bayesian estimation of dynamic survival models with shrinkage priors. Details on the algorithms used are provided in Wagner (2011) doi:10.1007/s11222-009-9164-5, Bitto and Frühwirth-Schnatter (2019) doi:10.1016/j.jeconom.2018.11.006 and Cadonna et al. (2020) doi:10.3390/econometrics8020020.

Install

R (CRAN)Ubuntu (r2u)openSUSE (OBS)

install.packages("shrinkDSM", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

# enable cranapt (r2u) if it is not already set up, then install

  || curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eddelbuettel/r2u/master/inst/scripts/add_cranapt_noble.sh | sudo bash
sudo apt install -y r-cran-shrinkdsm

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

# add the autoCRAN OBS repo (Tumbleweed) if it is missing, then install
zypper -q lr | grep -qi autoCRAN \
