Allows to display a progress bar in the R console for long running computations taking place in c++ code, and support for interrupting those computations even in multithreaded code, typically using OpenMP.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from kforner/rcpp_progress. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-RcppProgress

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
