IRT-M is a semi-supervised approach based on Bayesian Item Response Theory that produces theoretically identified underlying dimensions from input data and a constraints matrix. The methodology is fully described in 'Morucci et al. (2024), "Measurement That Matches Theory: Theory-Driven Identification in Item Response Theory Models"'. Install

install.packages("IRTM", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-IRTM

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
