Content-preserving transformations transformations of PDF files such as split, combine, and compress. This package interfaces directly to the 'qpdf' C++ library https://qpdf.sourceforge.io/ and does not require any command line utilities. Note that 'qpdf' does not read actual content from PDF files: to extract text and data you need the 'pdftools' package.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from ropensci/qpdf. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-qpdf

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
