The 'Zarr' specification is widely used to build libraries for the storage and retrieval of n-dimensional array data from data stores ranging from local file systems to the cloud. This package is a native 'Zarr' implementation in R with support for all required features of 'Zarr' version 3. It is designed to be extensible such that new stores, codecs and extensions can be added easily.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from R-CF/zarr. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-zarr

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
