The Bank of Canada updated their Valet API https://www.bankofcanada.ca/valet/docs, and no R client currently exists. This provides access to all of Valet's endpoints and serves responses in wide format easy for researchers to handle but also provides tools to access API responses as a list.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from runkelcorey/valet. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-valet

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
