Performs parametric synthesis of sounds with harmonic and noise components such as animal vocalizations or human voice. Also offers tools for audio manipulation and acoustic analysis, including pitch tracking, spectral analysis, audio segmentation, pitch and formant shifting, etc. Includes four interactive web apps for synthesizing and annotating audio, manually correcting pitch contours, and measuring formant frequencies. Install

install.packages("soundgen", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-soundgen

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
