Provides functions for performing common tasks when working with slippy map tile service APIs e.g. Google maps, Open Street Map, Mapbox, Stamen, among others. Functionality includes converting from latitude and longitude to tile numbers, determining tile bounding boxes, and compositing tiles to a georeferenced raster image.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from milesmcbain/slippymath. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-slippymath

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
