The lightweight header-only C++-20 logging library 'spdlite', a lighter version of 'spdlog' and also written by Gabi Melman, provides most of the features of the larger version, and also includes 'fmt' as a fallback if std::format() is not selected.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from eddelbuettel/rspdlite. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-rspdlite

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
