Offers tools to estimate and visualize levels of major pollutants (CO, NO2, SO2, Ozone, PM2.5 and PM10) across the conterminous United States for user-defined time ranges. Provides functions to retrieve pollutant data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 'Air Quality System' (AQS) API service <https://aqs.epa.gov/aqsweb/documents/data_api.html> for interactive visualization through a 'shiny' application, allowing users to explore pollutant levels for a given location over time relative to the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).

Install

install.packages("pargasite")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

# one-time r2u setup for Ubuntu (noble)

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eddelbuettel/r2u/master/inst/scripts/add_cranapt_noble.sh | sudo bash

# then install

sudo apt install r-cran-pargasite

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). Run the setup once per machine.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf copr enable iucar/cran

sudo dnf install R-CRAN-pargasite

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

sudo zypper install R-pargasite

RPMs auto-built from CRAN on openSUSE OBS.
