Overture Maps offers free and open geospatial map data sourced from various providers and standardized to a common schema. This tool allows you to download Overture Maps data for a specific region of interest and convert it to several different file formats. For more information, visit https://overturemaps.org/download/.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from denironyx/overturemapsr. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-overturemapsr

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
