Semi-parametric approach for sparse canonical correlation analysis which can handle mixed data types: continuous, binary and truncated continuous. Bridge functions are provided to connect Kendall's tau to latent correlation under the Gaussian copula model. The methods are described in Yoon, Carroll and Gaynanova (2020) doi:10.1093/biomet/asaa007 and Yoon, Mueller and Gaynanova (2021) doi:10.1080/10618600.2021.1882468.

Install

install.packages("mixedCCA", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-mixedCCA

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
