For the purposes of teaching, it is often desirable to show examples of working with messy data and how to clean it. This R package creates messy data from clean, tidy data frames so that students have a clean example to work towards.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from nrennie/messy. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-messy

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
