Suite of tools for managing cached files, targeting use in other R packages. Uses 'rappdirs' for cross-platform paths. Provides utilities to manage cache directories, including targeting files by path or by key; cached directories can be compressed and uncompressed easily to save disk space.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from ropensci/hoardr. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.
