It allows you to automatically monitor trends of social media messages by time, place and topic aiming at detecting public health threats early through the detection of signals (i.e., an unusual increase in the number of messages per time, topic and location). It was designed to focus on infectious diseases, and it can be extended to all hazards or other fields of study by modifying the topics and keywords. Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from EU-ECDC/episomer. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.
