Perceptually uniform palettes for commonly used variables in oceanography as functions taking an integer and producing character vectors of colours. See Thyng, K.M., Greene, C.A., Hetland, R.D., Zimmerle, H.M. and S.F. DiMarco (2016) doi:10.5670/oceanog.2016.66 for the guidelines adhered to when creating the palettes.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-cmocean

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
