Provides a streamlined and user-friendly framework for bootstrapping in state space models, particularly when the number of subjects/units (n) exceeds one, a scenario commonly encountered in social and behavioral sciences. The parametric bootstrap implemented here was developed and applied in Pesigan, Russell, and Chow (2025) doi:10.1037/met0000779.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from jeksterslab/bootStateSpace. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-bootStateSpace

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
