Provides an implementation of the Virtual Noise algorithm for D-optimal experimental designs under correlated observations. The package supports flexible covariance structures, multi-dimensional candidate sets, and analytical or numerical computation of regression gradients. It offers a unified framework for constructing design matrices, defining covariance models, and computing optimal design measures.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-VNDesign

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
