Performs a sentiment analysis of textual contents in R. This implementation utilizes various existing dictionaries, such as Harvard IV, or finance-specific dictionaries. Furthermore, it can also create customized dictionaries. The latter uses LASSO regularization as a statistical approach to select relevant terms based on an exogenous response variable.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from sfeuerriegel/SentimentAnalysis. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
