This comprehensive toolkit for skewed regression is designated as "SLIC" (The LIC for Distributed Skewed Regression Analysis). It is predicated on the assumption that the error term follows a skewed distribution, such as the Skew-Normal, Skew-t, or Skew-Laplace. The methodology and theoretical foundation of the package are described in Guo G.(2020) doi:10.1080/02664763.2022.2053949.

Install

install.packages("SLIC", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-SLIC

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
