Median-of-means is a generic yet powerful framework for scalable and robust estimation. A framework for Bayesian analysis is called M-posterior, which estimates a median of subset posterior measures. For general exposition to the topic, see the paper by Minsker (2015) doi:10.3150/14-BEJ645.

Install

install.packages("SBmedian", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

sudo apt install -y r-cran-sbmedian

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
