An implementation of the WOFOST ("World Food Studies") crop growth model. WOFOST is a dynamic simulation model that uses daily weather data, and crop, soil and management parameters to simulate crop growth and development. See De Wit et al. (2019) doi:10.1016/j.agsy.2018.06.018 for a recent review of the history and use of the model.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from cropmodels/Rwofost. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-Rwofost

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
