The ecocrop model estimates environmental suitability for plants using a limiting factor approach for plant growth following Hackett (1991) doi:10.1007/BF00045728. The implementation in this package is fast and flexible: it allows for the use of any (environmental) predictor variable. Predictors can be either static (for example, soil pH) or dynamic (for example, monthly precipitation).

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from cropmodels/Recocrop. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.
