The mature and widely-used C++ logging library 'spdlog' by Gabi Melman provides many desirable features. This package bundles these header files for easy use by R packages from both their R and C or C++ code. Explicit use via 'LinkingTo:' is also supported. Also see the 'spdl' package which enhanced this package with a consistent R and C++ interface.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from eddelbuettel/rcppspdlog. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
