R package based on 'Rcpp' for 'MeCab': Yet Another Part-of-Speech and Morphological Analyzer. It provides install-time engine profiles and dictionaries for Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese text. Runtime dictionary selection does not change the installed engine. This package utilizes parallel programming for providing highly efficient text preprocessing 'posParallel()' function. For installation, please refer to README.md file.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from junhewk/RcppMeCab. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-RcppMeCab

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
