Functions for parameter descriptions and operations in black-box optimization, tuning and machine learning. Parameters can be described (type, constraints, defaults, etc.), combined to parameter sets and can in general be programmed on. A useful OptPath object (archive) to log function evaluations is also provided.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from mlr-org/ParamHelpers. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-ParamHelpers

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
