A variety of tools relevant to the analysis of marine soundscape data. There are tools for downloading AIS (automatic identification system) data from Marine Cadastre https://hub.marinecadastre.gov, connecting AIS data to GPS coordinates, plotting summaries of various soundscape measurements, and downloading relevant environmental variables (wind, swell height) from the National Center for Atmospheric Research data server https://gdex.ucar.edu/datasets/d084001/. Most tools were developed to work well with output from 'Triton' software, but can be adapted to work with any similar measurements.

Install

install.packages("PAMscapes", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

sudo apt install -y r-cran-pamscapes

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
