A graphical user interface to apply an advanced method optimization algorithm to various sampling and analysis instruments. This includes generating experimental designs, uploading and viewing data, and performing various analyses to determine the optimal method. Details of the techniques used in this package are published in Gamble, Granger, & Mannion (2024) doi:10.1021/acs.analchem.3c05763.

Install

install.packages("MethodOpt", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-MethodOpt

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
