Rapid satellite data streams in operational applications have clear benefits for monitoring land cover, especially when information can be delivered as fast as changing surface conditions. Over the past decade, remote sensing has become a key tool for monitoring and predicting environmental variables by using satellite data. This package presents the main applications in remote sensing for land surface monitoring and land cover mapping (soil, vegetation, water...). Install

install.packages("LSRS", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-LSRS

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
