Randomized and balanced allocation of units to treatment groups using the Finite Selection Model (FSM). The FSM was originally proposed and developed at the RAND corporation by Carl Morris to enhance the experimental design for the now famous Health Insurance Experiment. See Morris (1979) doi:10.1016/0304-4076(79)90053-8 for details on the original version of the FSM.

Install

install.packages("FSM", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-FSM

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
