The purpose of this package is to provide a comprehensive R interface to the Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer Cropping Systems Model (DSSAT-CSM; see https://dssat.net for more information). The package provides cross-platform functions to read and write input files, run DSSAT-CSM, and read output files.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from palderman/DSSAT. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-DSSAT

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
