A simple runner for fuzz-testing functions in an R package's public interface. Fuzz testing helps identify functions lacking sufficient argument validation, and uncovers problematic inputs that, while valid by function signature, may cause issues within the function body.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from mcol/caught-by-the-fuzz. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-CBTF

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.
