Provides functions to accompany the book "Applied Statistical Modeling for Ecologists" by Marc Kéry and Kenneth F. Kellner (2024, ISBN: 9780443137150). Included are functions for simulating and customizing the datasets used for the example models in each chapter, summarizing output from model fitting engines, and running custom Markov Chain Monte Carlo.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from kenkellner/ASMbook. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-ASMbook

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
